Hey, I'm the biggest Zardfag you can find, someone who even likes ZardX's design, but even I can see A-Greninja is more useful simply because it doesn't take the Mega Slot. No need to be that way. Each Pokemon has different role, with different Checks and Counters. Zard's just better at Sweeping with DD, and A-ninja can't stop that. A-ninja acts as a Specs Sweeper, and Zard can't stop that without DD. It doesn't make one better than the other. They're both great Pokemon, being in OU together.

A-ninja's role is a Sweeper. They will have Water Shuriken, but because it's just a 60BP move, using it is not practical in a normal situation. A-ninja outspeeds most of the Pokemon anyway, so Hydro Pump is a way better choice to use because it can OHKO more Pokemon.
