I'm going to play devil's advocate a bit and say that they seen intent on building an identity through a somewhat cheap trick. Also, their commitment to their gimmick regardless of the subject material can lead to some really lame, ill-fitting art that just seems forced, square peg in round hole style.

However, I still like the majority of their work, and think a mixture of consistency and freshness def adds to the complete collage, so long as the fresh art doesn't get overshadowed. Glad bottom left guy is gone for that reason, though I did like his art as a standalone.

Building anon just baffles me, though. That's another level of "forcing it." I like pencil anon, quagfag, wailord anon, and shiny cartoon anon.

I have a respect for gimmickfags because there's a level of talent, be it comedic or artistic.

I tried to force a "gimmick" on myself once by drawing without an outline. Kinda like samurai jack's art but shit. I think that lasted maybe a week before I settled into this style.
