Who here is voting for this game to be at the Evo 2017 lineup?

People with taste I'd imagine
>>31528133
>someone donated $500
So this is the power of autism
>>31528133
Do you have to donate to "vote"?
>Zyflair Griffane donated $1000
this can't be real
>game frequently took way too long to set up because the wii u is incredibly finnicky about connecting peripherals
>a big screen top 16 match had to be restarted because the two consoles spontaneously decided to stop communicating via LAN
if it somehow returns I guess I'll enter and beat up some kids given that 90% of the entrants were 12 year olds or people who have never touched a fighting game's training mode in their lives

Why don't they play in one console? Local 1v1 is good, my roomate has this game and it works fine.
>>31528246
Local 1v1 is unfair on the person using the handheld screen due to lower FPS and slight latency issues. Aside from the more obvious issue of it being harder to see.
Not an issue for casual play but when you're on the world stage of fighting game tournaments playing for a sizeable cash prize then it's important that neither player is playing at a disadvantage.
>>31528277
Can't you play with 2 pro controllers? I never had this issue, but my roomate is the one who uses the gamepad so I wouldn't have noticed.
I legitimately forgot Pokken even existed.
>>31528211
Zyflair is the man and this isn't even a bomb to him.
>>31528311
No, because of the way the game works in field phase. The camera in field phase is always behind your pokemon and only switches to a traditional side view during duel phase. Thus you need two screens for both players to be able to fight in duel phase properly.
So you either use TV + Gamepad or 2 Wii Us and 2 TVs connected via LAN. The LAN connection decided to stop working during one of the big matches and it had to be restarted (which took several minutes to get working again), I bust a gut when I saw it across the convention floor.

Can't they get one of those arcade machines? Or are those single player only?
>>31528365
They're only in Japan and I cannot begin to fathom the cost of buying one and having it shipped over for a game that might only run for a single year. Then if THAT broke then they'd have an even worse time trying to fix it.
I think the old SF4 arcade cabs cost over $10k
>>31528379
Sorry, I don't really know how these events work. I thought Nintendo would donate a machine or something to display the game...
>>31528425
Nintendo hates people playing their games in tournaments lol, they almost barred Smash Bros from EVO at one point
>>31528432
Really? Do they hate money? Tht seems retarded, yet again, it's Nintendo we're talking about haha... too bad, hopefully they don't have connection issues this year, pokken is quite fun.
Not a fan of Pokken
>>31528432
That was NoA's bored legal team jumping on anything with too much attention, when Nintendo actually found out what was going on they told the lawyers to drop it and encouraged the game at Evo
I hope furry-backed mons flop at this year's championship
