I played Pokemon Stadium 2 before any of the GSC games and came across Chinchou while going through Little Cup for the first time. Nothing special but it was memorable since it was my first introduction to Gen 2. Fished out one by chance in Crystal later and used it on the team. I continued using Chinchou/Lanturn in playthrough teams for the next several generations wherever it was available (especially Gen III replays).

XY made it easier to breed so I started battling online a bit more then. For something with such terrible stats Lanturn surprised me and still managed to pull through in lots of games. Still use it now as of SM. Porygon-Z is my number 1 favorite, but Lanturn's up there with it too thanks to consistent performance ingame and online over the years

Nothing much. I simply find it very likable

Regardless, second favourite (fully evolved) Pokemon and by far the most useful in-game I've ever used. Saved hundreds of other Pokemon lives in a no-center Black Nuzlocke run I did on his own, even tanking through +1 Stone Edges from Clay as Ducklett.

Every other Water/Flying type got buffs to be OU viable, now I'm hoping Swanna gets the same treatment.

I have a lot of bros from Nuzlockes. Carbink, Whimsicott, Abomasnow, Toucannon, Gigalith (twice!), Porygon-Z...

I actually don't really have one anymore.
for me Pokemon are just battle bots now.

Cause I had a old Pikachu doll when I was a kid that I really liked, and I've always liked ghosts n stuff.

when fairy type came out I wished there was a ghost/fairy bedsheet ghost pokemon, and gamefreak actually did it the absolute madmen.

It's like a lucky charm in a way. Instantly after catching my first shiny one in SS, i won the master ball from the Radio Tower, and i've just generally gotten really lucky using it, like it dodging 5 dark voids from a darkrai in a row or finding a RE shiny with it in my team.

Had a pineco from looking for heracross and was using it as switch bait and it eventually it started tanking hits well and got self destruct wich was a great finisher. When he evolved and gained Dat Typing with the extra resistances while having a not to shabby attack stat either. Had a blast explosioning and reviving him to take down lances team just for a laugh.
