Out of all the flora in the world, the venus flytrap has to be the most intriguing and recognizable to base a pokémon design off of. And what do they do? They slap a pair googley eyes on it and call it a day.
>tfw Carnivine will never be good
How do we fix Carnivine?
Also, they slapped googly eyes on a collection of vines, so I don't see what you're complaining about
me too

no
I meant that that kind of stuff has always been a thing, so people shouldn't get so worked up over it

Get rid of levitate so it can have Strong Jaw and Sweet Veil. It also has a pretty crappy movepool.
To be honest, Carnivine is among the small handful of pokémon left who would really work well for a crossgen evolution. No idea where they'd take the design though....

Make carnivine's regular ability strong jaw instead of levitate, and give it a hidden ability called flytrap: think of storm drain, but for bug types. It can work as an attacker with strong jaw, or as a rage powder/leech seed/infestation/toxic support in doubles with flytrap, helping mons that have an important weakness to u-turn, like malamar or exeggutor, to set up. This last set is situational tho, as carnivine still has other important weaknesses and is slow.
Give carnivine a grass type biting move, and a few fang moves (poison fang, thunder fang maybe). Also give it knock of and poison jab.
Finally, give carnivine a crossgen evo, allowing carnivine to hold eviolite and improve its shit bulk. >>31491469 I would guess a mix of hydra/swamp monster and multiple heads could work.
