Literally nothing but the main games ever depicted Typhlosion with its flames always activate. 3D games, the anime, they all showed it only activating its flames when it's attacking or angry.

the only pokemon that is meets/exceeds Scarf Typhlosion in speed AND in special attack power are Mega Blaziken after a speed boost, Volcarona after a Quiver Dance, and Scarf Salazzle, but none of those get Burn Up or Eruption

You're right. Typhlosion does have a pretty nice niche as a fire spammer...in NU. Retards like you brought it up to RU in ORAS, where it was left to rot because no good players used it because it's bad but it was stuck in RU because some morons did. Also, scarf burn up is dumb, because you lose your fire typing after the first BU, and BU fails if the pokemon using it isn't fire type. You may as well use scarf slaking at that point.

Because Mega Charizard X is a Mega Evolution and the constant flames represent a continual overflow of power, which is what Megas are.

Plus the entire Char line has flames on its tail tied to its vitality so that's a dumb point to make.
