Reminder that the only benefit of it's 100 base special attack is Z-Frenzy Plant on a Nasty Plot set.
>>31473155
Reminder that Decidueye is still the strongest of the Alola starters and one of the strongest starters period.

>There are people who actually believe this
Next you'll tell me Unova is based off of Shanghai
>>31473180
Reminder that Decidueye would have been better if its special attack was lower and its other stats had more points put into them.
>>31473180
Do you like Greninja?

mega venasaur, mega char, blaziken, swampert, infernape, contrary serperior, greninja, primarina all better
>>31473180
Seal>Owl>Tony the Tiger
Without counting Megas, I would only really say Seal, Serp, Blaziken, Infernape, Gren and (debatably) Ches are better. It's not horrible by any means.
>>31473230
And Empoleon, Mega Blastoise and Mega Sceptile
>>31473155
Poor thing. They really should have swapped his Speed and Sp. Atk.
>>31473180
I liked the owl since its reveal and I must say that it might not be the best starter but at least it isn't Blaze Incineroar, and that being the only Ghost starter is a great advantage to Abilities like Sand Trap and Shadow Tag. Even I struggle to find a good set outside of All-out Attacker Lead with Focus Sash.
>>31473155
>same HP & Def as Dartrix
LITERALLY WHY
>>31473180
Kek.
It isn't even top 20 in the starter rankings.
>>31473368
Torracat has the same Sp. Atk as Incineroar, and more Speed. Why only Popplio/Brionne's stats grow in a consistent way when evolving? They never stay the same or decrease, unlike the other 2 Alola starters.
>Slow mixed attacker
>>31473260
I disagree with those.
>Empoleon
I can see it dropping RU this gen as Primarina outclasses it as a better special attacker and lacks recovery for a wall. If Z-Mist could be used more than once it might've been good.
>Mega Blastoise
If your not using its as a spinner its utter garbage. Heck, I'd rather use Clawizter than this thing. Its saving grace is that is less passive than Toise with Leftovers.
>Mega Sceptile
Its better than the base form but gimmicky for a mega. Would kill for a better ability.
>>31473155
Until it gets Giga Drain whenever move tutors come back
>>31473463
More people are running Empoleon for rocks or Defog though, plus its unique resistances.
>>31473501
Ah, forgot about it's insane utility. Guess I undestimate it as it's defensive synergy is put to waist with its lack of recovery.
>>31473155
Hay, that's pretty good.
>>31473180
Decidueye is literally almost Meganium tier levels of garbage.
>>31474948
Venusaur>Serperior>Chesnaught>Sceptile>Decidueye>Torterra>Meganium
>>31475307
This is pretty accurate
>>31475307
>>31475334
If we're counting megas then shouldn't Sceptile be above Chesnaught?
>>31474948
You'd be surprised how far spinblocking and defog could go
>>31475307
10/10
>>31475372
M-Sceptile is underwhelming for a mega, whereas Chesnaught brings utility and bulk to the table.
>>31473459
It's gen 3 all over again
>>31475307
I'm surprisingly ok with this.
>>31475464
If we're going by viability rankings then MScep is much higher than Chesnaught

Huh, your right. Its even higher in OU despite the opportunity cost of better megas to use in the tier. What makes Chesnaught less splashable and useful than a mega?
