>uu thinks it's complete shit and can't wait for it to drop to ru
owlbros win once again
>>31460775
No one thinks that though? Dhelmise is quite solid. It has reason bulk with a vest, good STAB in power whip and shadow claw, and access to rapid spin while also being a spin blocker. UU is kind of shitty right now, even still dhelmise is more then worthy of a UU ranking.
>>31460775
>conveniently omitting that UU thinks your numale bird is even worse
Typical of an owlfag.
>>31460812
>>31460825
t. retarded antidecidueyefags who can't into critical thinking
>>31460775
UU is also extremely volatile at the moment and is banning pokemon in sets of 5 every week. Honestly too, I'm pretty sure the general consensus is they are both garbage, but Dhelmise at least gets rapid spin and steel STAB.
>>31460845
How about having. a one v one with decidueye And dhelmise. And test how powerful that useless steel stab rapid spin really is. And let's test if dhelmise can servive a spirit shackles, or a stab shadowball, or batter a sinister arrow raid.
>>31460845
Dhelmise not having recovery makes it a lot worse. Decidueye gets Defog to remove hazards anyways which is also fine.
>>31460893
>sinister arrow raid
>waisting your z-move on such a trash mon
I'd like to see your shit owl live long enough to actually use it.
And I wasn't implying I use Dhelmise at all, but from a competitive standpoint 3x STABs + Rapid Spin > Awkward middle teir speed + signature Z-Move. They're both destined for RU, the faster you admit this to yourself the better.

>252+ Atk Decidueye Never-Ending Nightmare (160 BP) vs. 188 HP / 12 Def Kasib Berry Dhelmise: 247-292 (75.3 - 89%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
And then
>252+ Atk Dhelmise Phantom Force vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Decidueye: 414-488 (115 - 135.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Woops, your experiment failed. Perhaps your hypothesis is wrong?
>>31460893
>>31460954
And here's with Sinister Arrow Raid.
>252+ Atk Decidueye Sinister Arrow Raid vs. 188 HP / 12 Def Kasib Berry Dhelmise: 279-328 (85 - 100%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
The slowl only wins 6.3% of the time.

Fuck off anchorfags.
>>31460893
>How about having. a one v one
Because going by this logic Sneasel would be stronger than Landorus.
>>31460775
Dhelmise is superior, until, perhaps, you can get arrow bird's HA.
>>31460918
Giga Drain.

>>31460990
Oh noes. Whatever will I do.

Phantom force ignores protect.

>>31461637
What topic was that in? I want to read how other people responded to that.
>>31461301
Baton Pass is banned :^)
>>31460775
just a question since I dont care much about this pokemon
has trapping a mon with Decidueyes special move, and then switching to a Froslass with destiny bong been tried? is it too gimicky?
I'd say owl would be better if Baton Pass was allowed (and is better in OU, for what is worth) but as it is, Dhelmise is a better choice in UU.
why are starterbabbies this gen so insistent that their choice is god's gift to competitive play? like god damn unless you're talking about SB blaziken or greninja, keep your fuckin mouth shut
>>31461637
This is hilarious. I love Decidueye's design, but owlfags are the worst
>>31461762
>>31461957
He's not wrong though? People have always preferred living creature Pokemon over the ones based on inanimate objects.
Not to mention Decidueye is a fucking starter.
>>31462193
Yes, his opinion is wrong. Dhelmise looks far more interesting than Decidueye.
>>31462193
Yes, if you're a 5 years old that whole argument makes sense, but it was written on the Smogon forums of all places. I like Decidueye more than Dhelmise design wise, but even just mentioning that you prefer using a Pokémon instead of another -on a battle simulator- just because of the design is pretty idiotic. Like, I get what he meant, I often use Pokémon just because I like their design or gimmicks, but it's really stupid to bring up the argument in the first place and it adds nothing to that particular discussion.
>>31462244
I don't even like the fucking owl but Decidueye is just far more popular than Dhelmise. Denying that is straight up delusion.
>>31462357
Oh shit, keep forgetting that Dhelmise is going up against the almighty, legendary nu-male Pokemon.
We have no proof or polls to even know if what you're saying is true. You're just looking at the fact that Decidueye is talked about more because it's a starter and assuming that it is automatically more popular. Kek.
>>31462408
Dhelmise is laterally one of my favorite pokemon, probably in my top 5, but owl is more popular. Its a starter and based off an animal, of course its more popular then the pokemon with a 1% chance of appearing in one location.
Even then this is more about battle capabilities, where I do think dhelmise has the upper hand. Still too early to really tell though, we'll wait and see.
>>31462461
>Dhelmise is laterally one of my favorite pokemon, probably in my top 5, but owl is more popular. Its a starter and based off an animal, of course its more popular then the pokemon with a 1% chance of appearing in one location.
Where is your proof of this?
>>31462461
You have no proof. This situation is no different from when Incineroar was speculated to be the most popular in Japan and it turned out /vp/ was wrong.
>>31460775
t.owlfag
I've used Dhelmise on an anti-meta OU team that's peaked at 1740. It hits super hard and is great vs stall, also as a hazard remover that itself is immune to rapid spin (and does well vs common spinners).
>>31462591
Go online, look at all the fanart of the two. Its a starter, you really think dhelmise would be more popular? Dhelmise is definitely a way cooler design and concept, but let's be logical.
I'm disappointed with how fucking tiny this things in game model looks, same goes for pokemon like Steelix. Thought this thing was about 4 foot tall until I caught one myself.
>>31461002
Eh, they dont share a typing though.
Better comparison would be Gliscor v Lando
>>31461005
What does LR even do?
Leaf Blade won't proc Garchomp/Sharpedo's rough skin... ?
Brave Birding into a Talonflame doesnt get you burned by Flame Body?
... Its pretty stupid.
