Every time that my Metagross gets hit by a ghost or dark type attack, I feel like just going back to Emerald or White 2.
I hate the gen 6 changes to the type chart. Turning a stable game into an unbalanced mess just because the casuals complained about dragons was such a stupid decision.
The worst part is that dragons were the less affected type by those changes. How incompetent can a developer be?
You're welcome
>tfw no mega mawile with old steel type resistances

Yeah all the klingklang users are absolutely devastated

I'm sure they are.

Metagross is doing just fine. There was no logical reason for steel to resist ghost or dark, anyway, and it's still one of the best damn types out there.

fuck you guys klinklang is a beast

Just think about all these fairies you'll Meteor Mash and Bullet Punch

Have you tried getting a ghost resist nowadays? Your only option is dark on a meta that's infested with fairies.
Steel was a good "generic glue" that made team building easier, and should've stayed like that.

Steel had too many blessings. Give bug a ghost resist if you have to give it to something else
>>31445816
Normal types have existed since gen1. Pesky Game Freak wanted to make ghost types unplayable back then!

one day we will get a game where all the TMs are useful on at least one pokemon
i will be long dead, but it will happen

Steel should have continued to resist Dark, but not Ghost.
The Ghost resistance was subsumed into the Fairy resistance. Metal's ability to ward of spirits and junk shifted to the more accurate assortment of spirits. I can understand it like this, cool beans.
Dark makes no fucking sense. Dark attacks are, by fluff, sneaky attacks that make an opponent drop their guard. Steel resisting Dark makes exactly as much sense as Fighting resisting Dark fluff-wise. Fighting resists dark because a real warrior/hero can't be fooled by such tricks, or some autistic mumbo-jumbo like that.
Steel literally cannot drop its guard. Its guard is always up. Plus, you now have the issue where fucking BITING a half-ton spider tank is not only effective ,but actually an ideal way to fight it.
Ghost further makes a bit more sense for not being resisted by steel since ghostly attacks would, in theory, slip through the armor. Not a Dark attack, just because you've caught, say, Magneton off-guard doesn't make the metal any thinner.
It would also help to better separate Ghost and Dark mechanically, and give you a reason to use Shadow Ball over Dark Pulse for reasons beyond Stab.

Sadly normal types became useless after gen 4

YOU RUINED IT FOR EVERYONE YOU BROKEN PIECE OF SHIT
