How come Pokemon never developed towards the multiple-enemies-at-once thing, like other RPGs?
Except it did starting with double battles, then wild double battles, then horde encounters and now SOS battles?
God damn I loved FFIX.

True, but why the restrictions with how many pokeballs you can throw out at one time?

Are you just here 24/7 you shit?

Don't mods have the job to ban this guy?

You'd think if you're competent enough to throw a fist sized ball at an animal you could at least aim.

I don't understand your response. Why can't the player throw out up to six pokemon?
>>31410517
I hope so! I've still got my little dude lonely in HG I think.

It's game locked so you wouldn't be able to get it into gen 5 to get into gen 6 regardless
Because Pokemon is a monster battling game, which is a specific subgenre of RPG with its own priorities. The biggest staple of the subgenre, outside of the obvious "monster collecting" thing, is that the game's mechanics are built with an emphasis on multiplayer mode. The "multiple enemies at once" just isn't something you'd see in multiplayer, so they don't bother programming mechanics for it (as can be seen in the half-assed hoarde battles).

Try controlling 6 characters in a real time fighting game. That's the role a trainer has to play in-universe.
