>tfw didn't get swept by Hau's Raichu because I prepared an Umbreon in advance
Umbreon more like Dumbreon
>>31406460
OP FUCKING DESTROYED WILL HE EVER RECOVER?
>>31406443
>preparing in advance
faggot. He swept us because of the surpire element. Same thing with Red/Blue and Dexio
>>31406502
No, I no faggot.
>>31406443
I didn't get swept by him and I didn't prepare in advance for anything because I did a blind playthrough. If you have to prep in a vanilla pokemon game you're beyond help.
>>31406443
>needing a type immunity to win a battle
Achieve better performances
>tfw didn't get swept by Hau's Raichu because Ioverleveled to shit
>tfw didn't get swept by Hau's Raichu because this game is piss easy
>>31406550
Overleveling is so easy in this game because of SOS battles.
tfw didn't get swept by Hau's Raichu because i had the mud pony in my team because having a ground type is always good.
You may thank Wattson that i think like this.
>>31406502
I fought Blue just because I was so surprised and unprepared. Just felt right.
>>31406443
But then you used an Umbreon, and now your dignity is destroyed forever.
You may have won, but was it worth it?
I've never lost to Hau, even when I had only three Pokemon and no potions
if you actually lost a pokemon to Hau you should actually kill yourself
>Mudsdale used EQ
Problem?
>tfw don't even remember when I was supposed to get swept by Hau's Raichu
>>31407298
that
>>31407336
In Alola, Raichu is part Psychic so if you are immune to Electric, then you must watch out for Psychic moves. Anyways a physical STAB is enough to kill a Raichu, even easier if it's STAB Super Effective.
Who gets swept by such a fragile pokemon
>>31407535
That's a long way to say "Yes, I concur"
>>31406443
>He played Moon
>Got a fucking Umbreon instead of boxing the Eevee
>>31407186
>>31407298
That's because Hau has so few Pokemon. By the time you get to the point where he even has his Raichu he only has three Pokemon.
I had Gyarados, Magnemite holding Eviolite, Brionne, Boldore, Umbreon, and Trumbeak. Hau didn't stand a chance just like most trainers in this game because of One Pokemon Syndrome. Even now I am still facing trainers with only one Pokemon.
>>31406443
>tfw didn't get swept by Hau's Raichu because I'm actually a competent trainer that doesn't rely on counter-teaming
>do monobug
>only problem is with totem mimikkyu because RNG and disguise + wimpod had not evolved yet
>never farmed exp
You guys are bad if you struggled at any point
>>31407027
I fought Red because, despite not looking up their teams, I had great confidence that Red was going to use Pikachu, Snorlax, and the Gen 1 starters as opposed to whatever Blue stunts could pull
>>31406502
>us
not me, buckaroo
>>31407186
Having less Pokémon makes it easier anon
>>31407298
I refuse to catch route 1 shitmons so the second Hau battle almost got me because I chose trannyseal and wasn't expecting a Pichu with guaranteed Static para chance
I then realized that battle is hard-coded to only use status moves on you though
>tfw didn't get swept by Hau's Raichu because I don't have trouble in games intended for children
>losing to Hau ever
I just destroyed it with my cutiefly
>>31406584
Same. MudThor absolutely shitstomps the majority of the game
>>31408265
This desu
2/3 starters have a stab SE move against it. And every route 1-3 mon you get is either dark or magnemite. The best thing Hau had going for him was nobody thought his pokemon were any good
>>31407535
>>31406443
I wrecked that shit and I didn't even have any SE moves, I didn't prep either and I don't recall being terribly overleveled (maybe 2-4 at most)
>>31410246
I prepared just in case because I heard some people say they got swept by Hau's Raichu. I had no idea that you could get an Eevee egg from the daycare but immediately knew what I would evolve my Eevee into once it was hatched.
>>31410381
I was so annoyed when the egg didn't hatch into a new pokemon
>>31406443
>tfw you didn't lose any battles or use a single Z-Move
>Never died to the Raichu because I had Jolteon with Shadow Ball
>>31410526
Totem Vikavolt and Totem Lurantis almost destroyed me. Thank goodness for Gyarados, such an incredibly useful Pokemon. No wonder Magikarp is in every region, at least eventually.
>>31410624
>Lurantis summoned Castform
>How bad can this be
Wait, Hau's Rachiu is some "notorious sweeper" or something? I think totem Mimikyu was my only "oh shit" kinda moment in the entire game.
>>31410647
>Castform uses Sunny Day
>>31410680
I just realized I have to fight that next.
>>31406502
>us
>tfw didn't get swept by Hau's Raichu because I'm not a terrible player
>tfw I got swept by Hau's raichu because it landed 7 crits in a row
What does "swept" mean in this context? Getting your entire team wiped out?
That's laughable. The game is consistently easy throughout. The only time I got nervous was Hapu's trial, her Mudsdale was a motherfucker and BTFO 3 of my pogeys one after the other due to poor preparation.
Hau was piss-easy.
I just oneshotted it with spirit shackle.
you guys didn't actually choose a starter that wasn't Rowlet, right?
>>31411116
Hapu's Mudsdale got me bad because I used Bullet Seed on it thinking "oh, yeah, it's super effective, this'll work" without knowing about Stamina. Couldn't get a dent into it after that.
>>31411948
>he didn't have any special moves at all
>>31406443
Wait, people get swept by Hau?
>>31411105
oh god, what fuck is that shit
>>31411105
Anime name?
>Golisopod used First Impression!
I didnt even know people had trouble with it until /vp/ started bitching.x
>tfw i didn't get swep by hau's raichu because i didn't and am unable to play the game
The one battle I had an issue with was mimkyu, where it took me three tries. The E4 champ battle was where I got close to losing.
the first time it swept me
but the second time it used quick attack on my grimer instead of using electroball
the ai can be super busted sometimes
>TFW never had an issue with Hau.
I did get killed by Lurantis though. Also Red since I got used to the game healing me before all important battles.
>tfw swept because 4/6 of my members at the time were glass cannons which were underleveled and too slow against itDidn't help that I barely changed my team up afterwards and I still had half my team as glass cannons thinking I'd still be fine. Glass cannons are not good when you handicap yourself to the point where your entire team becomes 5-10 levels under most trainers.
