I was trying to simplify things by removing IVs, EVs, and Nature from the equation, since if they both have them, they should cancel out.
But Natures are percentages, so calculating just based on Base Speed is wrong.

But if two players had all their results as 2-0, 2-0, 0-2, 0-2 they come out on the exact same. Not sure how the second spot is going to be distinguished in a tied situation. Maybe some weighting on the type matchups, weighting based on the top player or maybe just a battle for it.

I've looked over the known results, and the way i see it, i'm already out of the tournament, with Shuffle and Sorry being the top two of our group.
If Leam wins both of his remaining matches 2-0, he will take the 2nd spot, if Jonas wins both 2-0, and Leam beats Shuffle, he will be tied with Shuffle for 2nd. If Shuffle beats Leam, he will be 2nd obviously.

This is my first time playing monotype and 3v3 so I wanted to pick up a strong type to get a feel for the format.I'll admit that I'm one of the try hard types.I've watched damn near every replay to get information on items and movesets to gain even a little bit of an advantage.So far I haven't seen two teams run the exact same Pokemon and even saw unlikely picks here and there.I even had to drop one of my OU Pokemon for a PU tier Pokemon with a very specific EV spread and moveset to cover bad match ups and help in mirrors.

Point is everything is new but not everything is viable.It all depends on the number of entrants for any particular type and what Pokemon are considered staple for those types.Atleast that's how I made my picks,I didn't want to lose to the same type and I wanted to cover my weaknesses.

People have been creative with their Z-moves though that's for sure.

I personally just try to make the most out of my mono. Most of the time that ends up resulting in higher tier pokemon in Smogons ranking system.

There definitely hasn't been an increase in OU mons from season to season though. Not that it matters.
People should design their teams how they want, but not using top tier mons because they are top tier is fucking ridiculous.

Spooky sword is a cool design though, just bullshit to play. In mono its not as bad though and countered by a few things, in my matches against Bomie gastrodon was a nightmare for it.

I went ghost because I love the designs and wanted to karenfag, also the selection wasn't shit like some types. Bank can't get here soon enough.
