Should I play ORAS or Emerald? I've never played either

Emerald if you want to sink in over 400+ hours in a single player game
ORAS if you just want to get gen 3 over with

Also, I think that there's some romhacks that give emerald gen 6 stuff, so maybe you should search for that

Emerald's only advantage is the Battle Frontier. It's outclassed in everything else.

Unless you play on emulator, play ORAS. Because playing on the original is quite a gamble.

The battery I just changed inside my Emeral cartridge just gave up when I was finally at the Battle Frontier, wiping out my entire game. Then I went to sell the game to a seller at a flea market in frustration.

The seller refised to buy my copy of Emerald because he noticed that it was a pirate bootleg. I had that cart for more than 10 years. In rage, I smashed that shit into tiny pieces.

In that case, you're free to have the pure classic experience. Honestly, Emerald is the best game just because of higher difficulty and the fact that both Team Magma and Aqua are in it.

Yeah its a hacked 3ds but it runs on the virtual console which is better than an emulator
