They put a lot of effort into Alolan ninetales this gen because they wanted to market the shit out of it, while A-Ninetales doesnt differ much from regular ninetales it does have 10+ more speed making it naturally faster than a looot of big meta popular mons in the game, not only that but it also gets snow warning AND its the only mon with snow warning that also gets aurora veil (that halves all damaged but can only be used in hail) making A-Ninetales a gimmicky support/disruptive mon as it cancel other weathers and damages all pokemon but ice types, which is not common and provides aurora veil, that works like using reflect and light screen in a single turn for the whole team. its clear A-Ninetales/Vulpix where the gen favorites
