Gross. I can respect that it's a good design and people like it, but it isn't what I'd hoped for.

Also for some reason (the scarf) it reminds me of Furret.

I love that we now have good, bulky Fairies that can capitalize on their resistances to Dark, Bug, and Fighting. Prior to the current gen, they were all mostly specially bulky.

I felt that way until Gen VII. The Tapus, Ribombee(finally a frail Fairy that is NOT slow),Primarina,Magearna,and A-Ninetales(could be stronger but has Nasty Plot to remedy this) are pretty damn solid fairies.

Shiinotic would've been sooo good if it had Amoongus HP or even just 100. I really love the design, but it's stats throw me off soo much.

If I had had my way, Sableye and Mawile would've been pure Dark types in gen III, and later retyped to Dark/Fairy in gen VI. That way Spiritomb can be unique in its typing, and Mawile's type would make loads more sense.

Mawile's still cool though.

I like Fairies for making Steel/Fire/Poison types more relevant

Yes, and it's rather shoehorned in.

There isn't a reason for its mouth being made of steel, other than word of god says so. It doesn't look like steel at all. There's no lore behind it being steel. They just....say so. If the pokédex didn't go out of its way to mention it, no one would have thought it was a fitting type.

I'm not even concerned with it being Steel. I'm just so confused as to why it's not DARK. Everything from its personality and behavior, design, even movepool and the fact that you always find it in caves, scream Dark type.

Should Gallade have been Fairy/Fighting? It's not as though Psychic is necessarily better or more fitting on it.

I would guess not. My logic is just that it's very much a knight in shining armor, which is a fairy tale thing.

Just because Gardevoir became a Fairy doesn't mean it's physical counterpart should. Psychic is primary for the whole line so why would they change it for Gallade?

Gallade has no armor. If anything hes more of a gladiator who tend to have more exposed skin and helmets like Gallade's.

This. Cutiefly looked cute with its proboscis and I don't get why the evolution completely took that out and decided to make it look more like a generic-looking humanoid fairy thing.

Ribombee is okay, but I'm kind of disappointed the first bug/fairy lost some of the features that made it look like a bug.
