I hate the idea for two reason.
1. Vampires are lame as shit, they are specific kind of supernatural creature that doesnt deserve its own type (dragon REEE) whereas most other types allow for many different approaches.
2. If such a stupid idea was introduced then it will invite "Hurr hurr now we have to have werewolf types to balance it!"
