Last weak I posted my interpretation for a sandslash evolution, after some editing this is the result
It just gets bigger.
>just gets bigger
>edgy
>ugly
>poor art-style
Final verdict:it could pass as a mega

Cool.
>giving it an evo
>not a baby form
>>31371838
>unnecessary stripes
>unnecessary tail spikes
>unnecessary horns
Building on a design doesn't mean add more spikes, anon.

It does if it's a Sinnohfetus doing it.
Hi OP here,
I forgot to mention that it has now access to a new ability called Spiked Armor wich protects it from any attack when it enters or switches into battle (it includes status moves).
Sorry brosky this design is shit. Proportions are all over the place and you only made him taller.

Have you learned in Gen 4 that a small number the cross gen evos were more "polished/refined" than just growth spurts(Porygon Z,Honchkrow,Electvire,Roserade,Gliscor etc.)? "Just getting bigger" isn't going to cut it as being an "upgraded" design these days.
If Sandslash was ever going to evolve, instead of just getting bigger, it would make more sense if it's backspines turned into a body of spiny armor. More similar to real life Pangoiln's. The armor should also be arranged similar to a Terracotta warrior's armor. Would probably be Ground/Figthing type too. Unsure about the claws, but it should look similar to the spear-like weapons those warriors used. With a little more research on their weaponry you could find something more logical to base it's claws on.
I mean, I'm all for Sandslash getting an evolution, but a "just getting bigger" design would seem like a joke.

That's a digimon

The problem with giving it drills is it winds up being a mono-typed Excadrill. While the drill body thing is cool as fuck, I don't think they need to do it twice.
The REAL trouble with Sandslash is it is directly outclassed by Excadrill, and indirectly outclassed by its Alola Form.
It won't be good without a serious buff or a new niche.

It looks mostly fine but the stripes seems unnecessary, and it would work better as a mega since anyways there's no change other than a little more detail

>Spiked armor
>Instead of the logical ''It hurts the opponent when it hits you with a physical attack'' it somehow protects you from damage and status
How does this work, explain because it makes no sense

This is as bad as Rhyperior
