The only thing I think was a legitimate belief knowing what we knew was that Greninja-A wouldn't be so much better than Protean. I figured it'd be a tradeoff and they'd be in the same tier but A is indeed better than Protean.

I also believed that the stats might have been buffed for the demo so that kind of played into it. Nobody who actually played competitive in gen 5 thought Z-moves would be anything but gamebreaking, they're basically better gems.
