Thanks to the Tapus Venusaur got a huge buff as it fucks over 3/4ths of the tapus, and with a sticky web, kills the 4th one.

Not everything is set in stone. Things can fall and rise, it's still too early in the meta to tell if Charizard Y will be stuck in BL Hell.

It will still see use on Sun teams either way.

I could thing of a few reasons.

1: 4x stealth rock weakness
2: Tapu Koko/Xurkitree
3: Gigalith, and Pelliper being good weather setters to counter Char Y
4: it's frailness physically is a real problem as this meta gave us alot of good new physical attackers. Goodra, Primarina, Gardevoir also suffer from this and are probably doomed to UU for this gen.

Goodra and Gardevoir are probably staying in RU. Gardevoir already suffered when Sylveon dropped to UU, Goodra just isn't that great overall.

What goodra is missing is reliable recovery outside of rest. If it did, it would be like a dragon chansey, with ferocious attacking capability. Goodra does get Acid armor to help compensate for its poor defences while Gardevoir is stuck using defence curl, and willowisp.

More tapu Koko let's be honest. Xurkitree is going to drop most likely. And you are right about pelipper but Gigalith isn't weather setter that is being used. Tyranitar is more likely. Another problem is the addition of Mantine and Toxapex/ Mantine sponges it's special hits and can only really be beat by a Thunderpunch variant. Toxapex is also just big sponge for all his moves

This, I remember last gen when Diggersby was in BL, But I saw it in OU alot because it fucked over so much of the metagame. Aegislash, Tyranitar, Charizard X, Mega Gardevoir, Bisharp, Diancie and much more. You could also run Scarf and Agility Variants that really recked some teams.
