>Pokemon Sun and Moon are the first games in twenty years that made me use Battle items
Some of those totem Pokemons really fucked me up, I'm actually happy about this, it has been a while I got "stuck" against anything in a Pokemon game

Agreed especially on the items part. Also made me keep status-inflicting moves more than usual

if you dont fight all the trainers, they can be hard. First run was safe and I beat up everyone I could find to over level the totems.
On my second run I wanted just to speed though as fast as possible, but the mimikyu and the grass totem(chose poplio) gave me a little trouble.

That fucked me up badly when it called Castform

I'll agree it was little bit more challenging than past games with the totem pokemon and all involved. I breezed through most of the game but Prof Kukui actually managed to fuck up my team. Might've been the hardest champion in recent memory.

>hahaha it's just a castform what could it do
>nothing will give you the same challenge as the initial hurdle to overcome Brock in gen 1
still have flashbacks to my shitty party getting assblasted by onix in pokemon yellow

i fucking hate this synthesis bitch. My Torracat couldn't OHKO it so I had to rely a lot on Magnemite's status moves and Charge beam
The only time I used battle items was during the battle with Red. I was about 20 levels below him and just wanted to get to the damn tree, so I cheesed it with Marowak setting up on Pikachu.

It's really challenging as long as you don't overlevel and just battle every trainer in sight, i actually abused the X items to be able to bullshit my way through many trials, i still wiped at Wishiwashi, i made the error of killing the helper wishiwashi which made him summon a alomomola that help it one shot everthing in my team.

I fought all the trainers during my first run an kept struggling (But my team all had shit defense)
