Nope, completely unrelated. But I am incorporating design aspects and influences from different places and cultures for some of the Pokemon.

Yeah, I have 0 art skills so everything you see here is just random body parts from different Pokemon stuck together. The tumbleweeds are from Tangela's Gen 1 art.

I really like the concept, but the hat is really out of place. How about going from a cowboy theme to a simpler western theme? You could keep the mask and the tumbleweeds and replace the hat with a cactus.
Grass/Ground would also be an option with these changes

I would kill the hat and make the mask more like a band of coloration on its skin.

Thank you guys for the criticism. The hat was really troubling me as well desu, but I wanted to include it because I felt the design was too bland without it. I'll try to redo it differently, maybe replace it with something else all together.
