I don't think I've really had positive feelings for a whole set of starters since Gen 4.

I genuinely hate these starters final evos. I put an everstone on my Poppilo until I got a Wishiwashi

It wasn't even that good as a starter first evo. I really do hate these Pokémon with a burning passion and might actually be one of my top 5 least favorite designs in the series, let alone for a starter or an evolution.

They've changed our adventures with taming wild animals into RPG characters with predetermined personalities killing creativity

I really did love SM though and a chunk of the new Pokémon.

Incineroar is the only one with a predetermined personality. The others just have a few traits which most of their species have.

While incineroar does certainly have one, the other two don't. Being pretty and singing, and being sneaky are not personality traits, at least not on monsters who use these as abilities to survive in the wild

I do like them, just not equally.
Decidueye I like the whole line (although less so on Dartrix due to the hair), not for the /vp/ tier meming but because I love owls and Noctowl is nowhere to be found in SM.
I like Torracat and Litten, but I'm not a huge fan of cats otherwise and Incineroar is too similar to Tony the tiger body proportions for me.
I like Brionne and Primarina, especially Primarina's eyes, but Popplio is too forgettable and the line would have done better if Popplio was relegated to a random encounter surfmon (like Spheal or something) and had something more notable as the first stage, like the other two.
