It's funny, even when compared to all of these, Ledian still stands out as fucking awful. It's a shame, since Ledian actually looks cool.

1) Because not every Pokemon is going to be fucking Garchomp, good is only good when there's a bad to compare it to

2) Because early game is supposed to give you weaker shit so more powerful pokemon later on feel like a reward

3) Because despite the fact they're shite in competitive Raticate, Stoutland, and Toucannon are all heavy hitters in singleplayer and fine additions to a team.

Hell, even in Gen 1 Raticate could do work with Super Fang/Hyper Beam/Blizzard if you predicted right. It just paled in comparison to things like Tauros and Snorlax in a generation where Normal was the best type in the game.

I mean, you're not wrong that Route 1 shit is pretty low tier but there's rad shit that can be done with most of them.
