Why are they even called Z-moves? The name suggests them being related to Zygarde but they were clearly not
Pokemon Sun and Moon are actually Pokemon Z

This.
Because the Japanese thing "Z" sounds cool.
Or, to give them more credit, Z-moves are supposed to be the epic finishers, the last move you use in the whole battle to finish everything off. Hence, Z, the last letter of the alphabet.
Maybe the Z is supposed to symbolize the end
As in, your final chance to turn the tide of the battle?

This is also why Lillie's final outfit is her "Z-powered form" and Dragon Ball Z is called Dragon Ball Z (it was intended to be the last DB series, and to be fair it was the last one based on the original manga)

The Z stands for the Japanese word "Zenryoku", which means "full power".
Pokemon's current obsession is the letter Z

How do you explain that whole "Resurrection of F" thing the ? They even show Freiza on the poster so it doesn't have any suspense on who "F" could be. Don't know why they didn't just use his full name. Just seems like a retarded Japanese culture thing.

>Not knowing the last letter of the Greek alphabet is Omega

>The magazine also disclosed that Toriyama came up with the title while listening to rock band Maximum the Hormone's 2008 song "F", which is about Frieza himself.
