I mean I like the idea of taking care of pokemon but I mean actual fun games that reward you. Look at FP for example, "haunted house" is just a cutscene, there's no actual minigame and I fucking hate it. There's no scoreboard etc. Though, it would be ruined with cheaters and shit, the idea of actually having proper interactive minigames involving your pokemon is much better than

Nah. It'd be fun for experienced players like you and me, but that would be terrible for younger players. And if they make it to the end of the game only to be stopped by a more difficult mechanic that they haven't dealt with before, they'd drop the game and never come back to the series.

There's a reason that more complex tactics are always post-game only, or otherwise optional. That's just the way it has to be from a business perspective.

contests are battles reformed, think a little bigger. Also, both of these things are only in a few games, and pokeathlon is literally only in one set of games. While Pokeathlon has some of what I want, it's not nearly what I'm looking for. What I want are quests that involve something other than battling that reward EXP, money, items etc depending on how well you do. THIS is part of progression.

I don't see why the only single way to do anything with our pokemon is just battle, battle, battle, battle. I get it, that's what we've been buying this whole time and what we should expect. But fuck, it's been 20 years and we still have basic bitch mini games, that have lol gotten worse now, and the same battling the whole way through. Even in the ashnime they can use pokemon to do various tasks necessary for continuation. I'm not asking for god tier can-do-anything stuff, but it's about time they added something more. Most standard RPGs now are able to do more than just battles.

Honestly, this doesn't sound fun to me at all. If I had to deal with stuff like this to progress through the game, I think I'd drop the series.

Trainer House/Battle Dojos/Seven Stars/Battleground/Food Court/Nimbasa Stadiums/Chateau/Striaton/Buffet are just straight battles like the ones you can do normally in the main game, not minigames.

Inverse Battles are just straight battles, but they are battles you cant do anywhere else so it can stay.

Royal Unova's an extremely loose definition, and like you said, Buena's Password isn't much of one.

Generally i dont count battles as minigames in general considering the entire game is about battles

Didn't Plasma hack into the PC at one point and planned to release all the Pokemon in it? It was some throw away dialogue in the castle from some grunt back at the same time it was such a wasted idea. It was essentially a footnote just like Team Flare spying on people using the Holocaster.

I honestly mostly made it to voice how I felt about the mini games in recent games. Its not that they were few in number, its that a huge chunk of them are essentially the same thing. Battling with no difference.
