Why /vp/ can't discuss anymore about Mega Charizard X neither Ash Greninja without saying the awful jokes about DORAGON and stuff?
Just why? Was the fight that much of impactful on everyone in /vp/ or it's just a forced meme at this point?
BURAASTU BAAN

BANNNN
This shit was honestly a lazy cop-out, almost as bad as Tobias. They give Ash his own speshul snowflake frog, a psuedo-legendary, Bravest Bird, and a rat with type advantage. Moreover, there's no attachment to edgelord - he's just there, especially compared to Ash who gets a romance subplot with Serena and the best chance at the championship he's had yet with meme frog. And then Edgelord fucking curbstomps him.
Look, I get why they did it - if Ash ever wins a league, the anime's probably over. But for fuck's sake, they did it in literally the worst way possible with BURASTO BAAN. Better ways include:
>Team Flare interferes, blowing the stadium to hell, and forcing Ash and Edgelord to work together to fight them off, leaving neither of them in a condition to go for the championship, and leaving the real result up in the air. Ash concedes rather than fight, because while the league is his dream it's Edgelord's too and it gives a moral about keeping competition friendly and being a good sport.
>After the match, it's revealed that Flare tampered with the match, boosting Charizard past reasonable power. Edgelord is an unwitting pawn, and Ash+friends beat the shit out of Flare. Alan offers the championship to Ash as an apology for Flare, but Ash refuses it because...reasons I guess?
>Charizard and memefrog are both KO'd by each other's final attack, and neither competitor is able to battle. Edgelord wins on a technicality, because Ash got KO'd when memefrog went down. Edgelord doesn't really like it, but Ash encourages him to take the win, because he earned it.

From the interview with the director:
>Alan is meant to be an "Anakin Skywalker-type character", someone who turns to the dark side to protect those he loves.
>>31176756
That last one probably would've been the best way of doing it
>>31176756
>league is his dream it's Edgelord's too
No, it isn't.
Alan winning makes MUCH more sense than Ash. Ash was fighting just for the glory and fun. Alan, on the other hand, to protect the ones he love and to surpass his limits. Alan deserved it. Everyone wanted Ash to win just because it's been dragged on for too long. He had no other reason to win this particular tournament.
>>31176756
All of them are so much better than what we got.
>tfw i like both memezard and meme-greninja
DORAGON SHURIKEN
>Ash wins 'league' in Orange Islands
>Ash wins Battle Frontier in Kanto
Do these count or no? If no, would someone please elaborate, I don't watch the anime that much anymore.
>>31177695
No, because then the anime would be over because he won a league.
>>31177761
Then make a new character that meets Ash in the new region because he's on vacation? Idk how it works.
>>31177695
The Frontier Brains were just glorified Gym Leaders. There wasn't even a tournament at the end.
Same for Orange League. Not only were there just 4 of them, they were pretty pathetic. There were no E4 or a Tournament. He just straight up fought a sorry excuse of a Champion and won.
>>31177761
Winning a league doesn't mean he has to stop his journey when there's still so many more pokemon to meet, discoveries to be made and trainers to fight.
It would just make him that year's tournament champion for that particular region.
Ash winning doesn't mean the anime will end you mongoloids.
>>31178144
It does, according to one of the directors.
>>31176756
Pretty much disagree.
