Eviolite Gligar is one Knock Off from being a non-entity. I'm reading this topic whilst shaking my head, people don't seem to know how things work at the beginning of every generation.

The likes of Zard-Y and Thundurus being in Alpha UU has very little to do with powercreep, and nearly all to do with people trying out new mons(remember, tiers are based off of usage, NOT viability, though as a generation gets older usage and viability begin to converge). This literally happens at the start of every generation, like in XY when Landorus-I and Deoxys(along with many OU staples) were both in Alpha UU, before eventually moving back up to OU when the meta settled and then Ubers once they got banned. It's the reason why the tier is called "Alpha" UU and also why no mon has been banned from it, because this shit is just temporary and will drastically change in the coming few months.

Hell, there won't even be a proper UU tier until around February since the organisers are waiting for the new toy syndrome to go away and for the meta to settle down, it's too erratic at the moment.

TL;DR This shit is temporary, things are going to normalise. Zard-Y, Thundurus, Kyurem-B and co will be back in OU very soon.

This, to an extent. Ubers and BL tiers are not usage based. Those are actual "This pokemon is too disruptive to the meta environment, so you can't use it in OU/UU/RU/NU/PU anymore.

Counterpoint to this though, Enough stuff might get reduced usage to the point that, when the meta stabilizes, UU chugs right along with Kyurem-B and friends as the new standard, while OU becomes Tikis and Genies anonymous. There might be enough stuff that reks Kyurem-B mainlining in OU that nobody wants it back.
I'm not saying this WILL happen, just that it's a possibility.
