The battle facilities in previous gens had grace periods at the starts of streaks. In Gen V, the Battle Subway's basic lines were available the moment you get to Nimbasa and early on feature NFE Pokemon because of the point of the game you're at when they're available. In contrast, the Battle Royal is available around the same point of progress and at Normal Rank features fully evolved Pokemon not in the Alola Dex, with some even going Mega. In regards to the Battle Tree, even early on in basic modes the game will start throwing teams usually unseen until late in the super modes of previous facilities at you.
