I'd have to say the second one is actually pretty decent. I mean base Dawn is pretty boyish honestly, its the anime that overly makes her girly. Base Dawn had a sleeveless shirt on and a skirt, with regular ass shows.

That second one looks to be identical barring the boots being Clair's and there not being a scarf. I'd say the second one is the best you're gonna get from how Dawn would actually look older, which is basically how Red/Green (Blue) look.

Characters have to have some more visual differences in their aging, especially the eyes when it comes to that style of drawing.

Well here, I threw this together real quick to show you. The second, which while it isn't perfect, does actually show a nice transition to a more adult age similarly to Red/Green (Blue), it just has more features removed similar to those two to signify the age, with more adult like features and height.

Yes, but the manga, anime, etc. aren't canon, as I said, her base outfit is very boyish already, and Green (Blue) has very similar clothes on after 10 years as well.

As for the eyes comment, its due to the angling of the drawing the anon did, and the age of the character. Anime characters the younger they are are drawn with larger eyes, while the older they are are drawn with bigger eyes, this holds true for the majority of Pokemon characters as well.

I'm not saying that second drawing is perfect, it could be fixed up in places, but its certainly a proper adult Dawn that actually shows a proper transition. Only outside sources ever really give her the complete feminine/girly side we see, besides contests with dresses and that's more of just a thing for "hey look, she's a girl, here is a dress, contests, yay."

Honestly if I were to give her an Ace, it would have been Mienshao. I think that fits her roller derby thing better with how fluid Mienshao seemingly seems to move. Or just Hitmonlee/Hitmonchan for the legs/punching thing and roller derby. Hitmonlee for the legs to skate and Hitmonchan to punch people out of the way.

Some people may like what I draw, some people may not, no big deal guys. I'm just doing this for fun, glad some people like at though.

Decided to draw a Liza, probably some mistakes with the coloring or anatomy in places. I'm not perfect and I'm still trying to learn some stuff and better perfect art, again, no shading, I'm dogshit at it, just the worst.

Hopefully some of you guys like this a little more. Oh yeah, if you're wondering why she doesn't have shoes, I got lazy, super lazy and it already took me awhile to do this anyways.
