My DS broke in 2011 and I got my 3DS in 2016, I don't care about Gen 5 and 6.

I've only palyed gen 4 using shitty Roms. Luckily the remakes are coming so I don't have to suffer through a downgraded engine

After taking Ruby out of my GBA and throwing it in the trash, I had no desire to play Pokemon until B/W. I don't think I missed much, although I might go for Storm Gold if the hacker finishes it.

I can kind of understand people who skipped Gen 6 if they couldn't afford a 3DS, but you have literally no excuse to skip any gen before that when there are good GB/GBC/GBA/DS emulators around.

I just played platinum for the first time after skipping DPPt entirely.

It was really fun, kind of made me long for better days of pokemon now that I've come back to play my sun playthrough and it's easy as shit and the region feels so small.

I played W2 till the part where you hop on the boat to defeat the "bad guys" and you have to get a secret code, I haven't bothered to finish it and the game has been in its case for 3 years now and I can tell you that..

I only skipped Yellow, Crystal, BW2 and ORAS. BW2 is the only one I regret skipping.

I skipped gen 6 because I don't like any of the Kalos starters and the chibi-like art style doesn't appeal to me.

I skipped gen 4, gen 5 and ORAS. Crystal and Emerald were my favourite games in the series but I could not summon the enthusiasm to play their remakes.

I was disinterested in the Black/White Series so i skipped a Gen, but now when i want to get a copy its hard to find.

i half skipped gen 2, i played my sisters copy of gold up until claire but couldnt save for some reason and never got further or to kanto. HG/SS is STILL expensive as hell and emulators arent as fun
