Am I the only one who everytime hears or reads the name "Acerola" thinks of nipple areolas? How related could this be?

In Japan, major Pokemon NPCs are usually named after or in reference of plants, flowers, vegetables, trees or what have you.
Usually in localized Pokemon games, characters have telltale names to suggest type specialty but not always. Some characters like Iris or Erika just keep their Japanese names all out. Acerola's name is the same as the JPN version and simply refers to a type of cherry.
