Even being a co-star like Dawn or a canon love interest like Serena didn't make the writers keep them for a second generation, and they were both still axed. Yet Brock somehow managed to last 4 generations. Brock's never been as popular as the female characters either, so its bizarre.

Serena's probably the one female companion who I changed my opinion on drastically. In the first year of XY I was kinda bored or indifferent with her, I only liked the fact that she wasn't annoying like Iris, but still didn't really care for her. However by the end of XY Serena turned out to one of my favorites.

How did that happen? If you told me back in 2013/2014 that Serena would wind up being one of my favorite female characters in the anime, I would have laughed.

Pathetic, and based off what I saw of the SM dub preview, it's most likely going to be just as shitty a XY(Z)'s dub was- they're only trolling with the OST intact in the preview like they did for XY(Z) before they began shitting it up with Goldfarb's crap, so it's gonna happen here again considering they paint edited out the Z Move kanji, rewrote tons of lines in the script already, and for the first time, TPCi even erased the "To Be Continued" text from an episode in the SM002 dub.

OS dub was leagues ahead of either BF or DP dub.

The Pokemon dub has been getting worse with time.
