What i don't get is why aren't the tapus and ultra beast considered as special pokemon?, when i first did free battles for fun i leave special pokemon banned so i wouldn't have to face a full team of nothing but legendary and mythicals, yet the game think they're regular pokemon, why?

Tapus, UBs, and Silvally are in a lower class than Legendaries and Mythicals, known as "Sub-Legendaries".

They're allowed in Battle Tree and such, while Legendaries and Mythicals are not.

I think that's what OP wants.
I think that's more competetive anyway, you have complete control over teambuilding, instead of being stuck with a legendary that is stuck with the nature that you originally caught it with, and would have to cheat or trade to be able to experiment with different sets.

And we all know that if you battle randos online, they use legendary pokemon as a crutch, but that's your fault for battling randos.

Yea it's bullshit that the UBs and other "legendaries" aren't banned, but honestly Gen 6 and megas in general made cartridge battling such a fucking joke that it doesn't really matter. Even if they banned all the Tapus and UBs your favorite mons would still get eviscerated by broken shit like M-Salamence
