homebrew and cfw are 2 different things. Homebrew is userland. Imagine it as writing your own program for Windows OS. cfw is more like gaining full control over the OS. Or running a different separate OS.

Ok I always see people defending gamefreak for stuff, but I would like to simply finish this debate. I actually breed in game, I understand all the mechanics and have been breeding since RSE. And yes, it's easier than ever to breed great Pokemon, and get online. However, it's not fucking perfect. First off, no access to bank starting off day one was crippling, nobody wants to breed from scratch again. Secondly, tauros is ABSOLUTELY a terrible downgrade from ORAS hatching and even XY and even fucking diamond and pearl. Hyper training is also shit as it is, level 100 requirement is stupid, as the only way to reliably level up is to run the E4 a million times like it's fucking 2004 all over again. And no the kitchens aren't reliable. The amount of FC you need is a bitch because festival plaza is CANCER. And lastly, it's just not worth the time investment. There are other games, people have jobs etc. people that defend the handling of these features recently either have no job or just allow anybody to bend them over and FUCK THEM.

I agree with everything else but this, this is complete bullshit. The Tauros box, or just running into a wall with Tauros, is MUCH faster than "fly to another city to hatch" in XY, "dude, SANDPITS lmao" in ORAS, and just running up and down in DP.

Non hacked battle ready pokemon in minutes. No hackcheck in the world could ever detect it because the mons are actually not hacked and caught within the game legitimately. And I didn't have to breed for 5 hours for 1 battle ready mon. I love this thing.

Anon, if you have a friend:^) with access to homebrew all you need is access to an ocarina of time 3d or ORAS cart to set up homebrew, even on the last firmware.

Download steel diver: sub wars from the eshop, install oothax/basehax on the cart, use that to launch the steelhax installer on your own 3ds, enjoy homebrew by launching steel diver.
