What do you guys think about the ditto being a failed clone

I think it's cool. Like most fan theories, there isn't much hard evidence to support it but it's still something interesting to think about.

There's not a lot of evidence suggesting towards that, and the only genetic experimentation mentioned in the games is in relation to Mewtwo.

Ditto being very closely related to Mew in a "biological" sense would make sense, though. I like fake poke-biology.
