What strategy? Keep your starter as your party leader for every fight. If you can level up to its second form before Brock or even the second Rival encounter, everything after that is a OHKO. Then use the Missingno glitch for infinite Rare Candies and Master Balls.

Maybe go back and do the Mew trick to get #151 and all the version exclusives without needing a second game.

That's my plan, but I was hoping for a sale before buying Red a third time.
