Lose yourself in the tree for a few hours. It's not that hard to EV train a special attacker, a physical attacker, and another physical attacking lead. Your point gain goes up as you delve further.

Get some Tapus and UBs. EV train them in Pelago. They'll be able to pretty effortlessly clean house in basic Singles at Battle Tree and get you on your feet with basic BP items.

Use UBs at the Battle Tree. They tend to have more unbalanced stats that are useful for spamming in the battle tree singles

Pheromosa has 151 ATK/Sp.ATK
Xurkitree has 173 Sp.Atk

I managed to beat the basic Battle Tree singles easily enough with this team:

>Thunder (for Z-Move and exploiting rain teams)

252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD

Tapu Lele @ Assault Vest
252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Timid Nature

>Energy Ball

With the exception of the Assault Vest, which isn't strictly necessary and there's probably better options, none of that required BP investment.

None of them are level 100 and bottle cap collecting is slow, so none of them even have perfect IVs. I also didn't bother SRing for optimal natures. I just got lucky with Timid Tapu Lele.
