Some of us didn't spoil the game ahead of time. I knew there were affection bonuses in xy but only actually got to like 4 hearts once because it took a lot longer in those games. I didnt remember the bonuses to be game breaking either.

This time around they give you max hearts by giving your mon one quick little hand job and snack and nothing will ever fucking hit it and everything is throws out will be a crit.
