It made literally no difference for me. Did it for anyone? Wifi or QR code, same difference. One involved me going to Serebii. One involved me going to mystery gift.

As long as I don't have to go to a location physically and buy something to get it, I am fine with whatever method.

it's nice that it isn't time limited like wifi events, but it may as well have just been in the game to begin with

I'm disappointed there's no in-game event of Magearna serving as the waitress in the Battle Buffet.

It makes me fucking mad. Wifi, code, QR, fuck that! I want to battle them myself and catch them in an ingame event. I was hoping we would return to that after last gens trainwreck.

Thats how they used to work... mew, arceus, darkrai, shaymin, deoxys... those were rad events that actually felt like events and had some lore. I like that far more than, "lol im the deliveryman heres your 1000 year old ancient god pokemon, have good day :3"
