OP, I have lost two pokemon games before. It sucks and you're crushed when it happens, but it's fine because you realize you can always find new things and have even better times ahead.

For those wondering how I lost two: The first one was my own dumbass mistake and left my DS in a hotel. The second one was because my aunt's ex husband needed money and he stole my DS and sold it off.

If you like pokemon that much (I never found anything that gave me the level of relief you describe), do whatever you gotta do to get it back. I know how it feels when you think that all of the effort you put in was a waste, but it wasn't cause you were happy while you did it, and if you do it again, as soon as you get rid of those grief-oriented thoughts, it'll make you just as happy and you'll have it for longer because you have to start over.

Don't give up m8o the world needs more sensitive people who it fails to crush so that they can teach it a lesson in how humanity is meant to be. Don't fail us duder.
