Its ability, which is absolute top tier against human players, is more or less worthless because the AI almost never switches anyway.

This "only" leaves it with its 170 SpA and 130 speed and amazing movepool, so I would say it's probably solid.

I would personally use the PerishTrap set. Sub/Protect/Perish/SBall. If played correctly it will likely take down at least two pokemon minimum (pretty much the only requisite is that you don't take a big hit on turn one when you Perish Song, but most tree sets do some dumb set-up on turn one. A lot of shit also likes using T-wave, confuse ray, swagger, etc. which Sub will block.) You would need something that can take hits for your last two pokemon, since you need to switch out on the last turn. I really like Perish Song in tree but it's such a poorly distributed move, it's a hard stop to basically all the gimmicky set-up bullshit the tree likes to throw at you, especially minimize users.

(btw, does anyone know what happens in a double down caused by perish song? Who wins? I assume it's the slower pokemon.)

3 attacks+DBond is also likely quite good. It's pretty powerful and has good coverage so it can act as a potent attacker, and then it has the fast DBond for anything that will survive a hit and KO.

I don't think it has the "solos 70% of teams" potential like mega mence or lucario have, but I'd say it's a strong pick.

There's none. 40 to 50 is like five minutes in the area immediately preceding battle tree though, with lvl50ish wild mons. Be sure to use Lucky Egg and max your affection (2 rainbow beans and 1 patterned) for stuff you're trying to level.

Nearly every team needs them because the Tree constantly throws legendaries and megas at you after a while, and a good chunk of them are actually good. If you don't match up just in terms of stats you're going to have constant uphill battles, which leads to more chances for bullshit losses.

Reached 40F with Moody Smeargle and faced Wally again. This time, RNG was heavily in my favor, and despite his Gallade waking up too soon for my tastes, Moody gave me Attack and Speed, so I passed to Mence without even Shell Smashing and swept his team, a somewhat anti-climatic battle for the occasion: EAJW-WWWW-WWW3-AZ3C

It's bullshit, but at least you don't have to deal with streaks. All you have to do with Battle Royal is make sure you have protect, get good at guessing who the AI will choose to gang rape, and be patient enough. As a source for BP it's fucking miserable though. I used it to get power items early in the game, but I really regret that I did.

A-Marowak eats any electric attacks (which the AI still loves to use), Gyarados is immune to any Chompy earthquakes, Chompy is immune to Discharge.

Golisopod is fantastic in either Super Singles or Trick Room Super Doubles. For Super Singles I used mine with First Impression/Aqua Jet/Rock Slide/Leech Life and an Assault Vest. A lot of people run him with Sucker Punch but I found it kind of useless in the Battle Tree due to the huge amount of support moves the AI teams use, and Rock Slide will take out a lot of dangerous stuff.

For Super Doubles I went with a Lum berry (because Dhelmise had the Assault Vest) and paired him with a tanky Instruct/Trick Room Oranguru. Instructing Leech Life under Trick Room usually allowed him to clear out all four pokemon without ever having to switch.

The Battle Tree is unfair, imbalanced bullshit which kills any kind of varied strategy meaning players just resort to what hits the hardest and fastest.

Gamefreak one day will realise that the cheating AI completely kills off team variety and that making it a completely reasonable mode without Brightpowder tanks and Quick Claw Sheer Cold isn't a bad thing.

Something like HJK/U-turn/Lunge/ice beam. Item can be life orb/choice band/wide lens.

I wouldn't recommend it though. It's not strong enough to get some KOs and it's extremely fragile and it can't switch in to anything. HJK only being 90 accuracy will screw you over at least once unless you use wide lens to fix its accuracy, but at the expense of power.

I put off making one for years due to HP breeding but now that hyper training is a thing, I just bred for nature and HP Fire so I'll have to grind like hell to fix it. The ability rolled as Sturdy unfortunately despite its Magnet Pull parent but I have an ability capsule.

Just had a tourist try to stall me with Vespiquen. After thinking I was going to lose the fucker struggled to death cause he couldn't Toxic Kartana and Struggle did shit for damage. It was a satisfying win.

You're not entirely alone. The speed buff to megas was a bitch, you can really get fucked up by some of these megas. I was straight up swept by Guzma's Pinsir. Outsped, one shotted by 3xThrash without getting a move in. The Durant strategy post bank will probably be the way I deal with these trainers, I don't think I'll even bother before then.

Is Ghostnium viable on Mimikyu?

I know Fairium makes play rough 100% accuracy but mimikyu hates steel types and Z-Shadow Claw hits them harder than a crit (Life Orb) shadow claw
