Very different. there are no Chansey's to steal off of, and pellipers don't drop them now.

In Gen 2, you could get unlimited Lucky Eggs from wild Chansey. You can't even do that in Sun/Moon.

It's really stupid that you can't thief them from chansey's when you can thief nearly every other held item in the game

You can get chanseys from chaining, i got one and used thieft on it but i got a lucky glove or whatever the chansey glove is called, didn't stay there too long as to see if they actually have lucky eggs on them but they probably do

Getting them from Chansey is still an option. It's just a lot slower than it used to be due to encounter method.

Just make sure you aren't using Thief. Use Trick or something instead so if it's the Lucky Punch you can just send it back and try again later.
