A poor attempt to hold back power creep. It's pretty stupid to be able to use obscure events moves from Gen III in the current meta, it just puts everyone who can't inject at a disadvantage. Smogon and their Wish Chansey can go fuck itself.

gen 7 should have just been like a clean slate, anything from past gens pokebanked in loses all its moves
