I wish Signal Beam was the Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, etc equivalent. Conceptually it's a lot cooler than Bug Buzz.

Signal Beam used to be Volbeat's signature move.

It's one of those moves that has nothing to do with its type, and is only that type so that Pokemon that has it gets STAB. See also: Marowak and its "bone moves".

Bug in particular has a lot of moves that have nothing to do with bugs, like U-turn, X-Scissor, and First Impression (called Head-On Collision in Japanese).
