Are you using a Compound Eyes Butterfree?

Put a fainted butterfree with compound eyes in first slot then have something with thief, falseswipe, a fighting move (For pesky Kangaroos), and a move that will 1hko cubones.

Just chain it. Literally took me like 5 of them WITHOUT a butterfree

What's there to do wrong? You encounter a fucking Cubone and use Thief on it. I can't do SOS strats cause i'm on my second playthrough on my Sun version and i can't just tank their hits forever.

Keep a KO'd Compound Eyes Butterfree in the firsts slot while using an Exeggutor (or anyone with Frisk as their ability) in the second slot and waiting until Frisk comes up with something.

Is the pokemon using theif holding an item already. Only works when the theif user isn't holding anything.
