The way the producers explain it, they mention other regions to show they take place in the same world. Since they don't consider Orre as canon, they leave out any reference to it, same with the Ranger games.

The only ribbons that are condensed are the contest ribbons from both Gen 3 and 4, and the Battle Tower ribbons from Emerald/PtHGSS. Contest ribbons turn into the Contest Memory ribbon, tower ribbons turn into the Battle Memory ribbon.

The ribbon counter was only put in for the contests in Hoenn and Sinnoh, but if you receive all of them you get a gold counterpart instead. Takes up less space on the status bar and it isn't a complete F U to the players.

Some ribbons can only be got through the Battle Tower, which was at its worst in Gens III and IV. So pretty impressive considering that. Contest ribbons, a few of the Sinnoh ones are a pain in the ass as some of the Master Rank NPCs will intentionally throw the contest just to ensure that anybody but you wins. The few from the Gamecube games can also be a small pain due to Mt Battle using some actually decent strategies, but since the teams are always the same, you can usually be prepared for all 100 battles. Otherwise, it's more time consuming than anything

Is the Best Friend Ribbon available to grab in Moon/Sun? Popping a couple rainbow beans is far quicker than spending hours in Amie. I know the Bank linkup hasn't happened yet, but it'd be nice if I knew I could save some time and just wait.

Sounds super fun but I always run into some issue that stops me. The most frequent one is finding out the perfect moveset I want on it has an egg move I need to give it, which puts it in a standard Pokeball before Gen VI. If I'm going to cover it in ribbons, I want it in my ball of choice too, which is the Luxury Ball.

since i skipped gen 3 and i never completed pokemon gold, this infernape is my first pokemon

all that is left for us to do now is go back to kalos to get 50 wins at the battle maison

the only thing i regret is that we could never beat the battle frontier in sinnoh, i really really hope they put it in the remakes

also i wonder why unova just doesn'thave a champion ribbon or any ribbon at all

elite 4, battle royale and battle tree should be fun to get in alola, i can't wait for pokebank

You shouldn't need a battery replacement for Emerald, too my knowledge the battery dying only fucks up berries.
If you don't have any of the other stuff though it would be quite expensive.

When I get around to playing Emerald I'll have a link from gen 3 all the way to gen 7. I should totally do this with whichever Pokemon I end up using most in that campaign and send them from game to game collecting every ribbon I could be arsed to get.

I don´t have any pic now, since i´m not home, but i have a Magnezone shiny that i bring with me since Leaf Green, was my first shiny. Alongside it i have my Serperior from Black and White.

I've had this Delcatty ever since RSE came out as part of my party, and it's the only one that survived after having my games stolen due to being in Gale of Darkness. I've cherished it since and been trying to get ribbons to make it special.
I never could come close enough to beat the Battle Tower, but I did get Cute Master rank (it's the only one not shown on the list bottom). Never beat Sinnoh's contests or Battle Tower unfortunately, and since its at 100 I'm locked out of the Footprint ribbon in ORAS.
Recently finished getting the Super training and all of ORAS' contest ribbons, now just trying to get the Red Gorgeous ribbon and the mood ribbons. I got no hope in getting the Battle Chateau ribbons because I suck at competitive and Delcatty, despite being EV trained, can't get far obviously.

Working on SR'ing Gale of Darkness competitive Pokemon right now. Follow Me Magmar is my trophy mon.

Battle Tree should be relatively easy right? As far as I understand you just need to beat a battle legend (10 win streak) as opposed to the 50 win streak needed in older facilities for a ribbon.

There's actually two ribbons for the Battle Tree, one if you win normal Singles/Double/Multi (20 win streak), and another ribbon if you win super Singles/Double/Multi (50 win streak).

As someone who never bothered with contests or getting every ribbon possible, I was honestly triggered when my team didn't get a ribbon for beating Unova's Elite Four. It is the sole reason why I think Gen V is the worst.

Gyarados, Breloom have all the gen 6 ribbons. Heracross and Chomp are missing some since I got tired of ORAS at the time. I have some old pokémon from Emerald and HGSS but since I wanted to start by scratch in Gen 6 and I can't use them on Battle Spot, they're stuck on the box
