Hustle has a use, I imagine making it speed boost pheromosa.

It's so weird. You'd think Phero would get Psychic or Dark Pulse or some other 'weird' projectiles.

I still think she should be Bug/Psychic. Bug/Fighting just seems weird.

She's entirely kicking themed. The whole beauty/pheromone thing feels like a scrapped plot point that would've involved Lusamine being affected, hence the design similarities that ended up being a coincidence in-universe.

Don't roaches avoid cold weather? Pheromosa happens to be the inverse of typical gross, heat resistant roaches. Someone correct me if I'm off base.

The hilarious thing is that Hidden Power exists and is just another fuck you to actual ice type pokemon.

There is no reason at all to use an ice pokemon. The only thing they can do to fix it is make it resist water, and maybe bug and grass even.

Buffing it offensively would only buff water more.

GameFreak likes to give som mons good movepools, for some reason. I;m not sure what the requirement or reasoning is, but one of their methods for balancing the game seems to be movepool size.

If they deliberately want a Pokemon to be good, they give it a big movepool with plenty of options. See Celesteela, Marshadow, Decidueye, or Tsareena.

Inversely, some mons have limited movepools to curb them, stop them from being "too good." Examples of this are Tapu Koko, Tapu Bulu, Silvally, Kartana, Kommo-o.

Pheromosa is an Ultra Beast, so it gets special treatment. It gets Ice Beam for the same reason that it gets Rapid Spin, Lunge, HJK, and Quiver Dance; they wanted to make sure that it was good.

Problem is that they barely know what they're doing, which is why we have whack movepools and missing STABs on half of the pokedex, then a seemingly random pool of mons that hit the movepool jackpot.

Bet that every damn time they develop at new generation they just slap on some moves, abilities, some stats and call it a day without even reflecting on what they did that day lol.

The worst offender is essentially abilities that aren't abilities, like Whishiwashi's Schooling ability does nothing for it except changing it to a powerhouse that easily could of been its evolution.

I get that the idea for in-battle forme changes are neat, but most of them are pretty bad, except for Minior where its ability actually got a purpose. Shield's down actually defends the user from status ailments until it is broken.

The worst part of this is, if you like a certain design of a zen mode clone 'mon, then you can't pet it in refresh or walk around with it in your party at all unless you hack.

Lightning Rod makes more sense than Flash Fire seeing as its head is a literal lightning rod. That and it would be even more broken.
