Yeah, it took me 11 days.
It was fun to get the item trade evos since you can essentially "chain" them in the GTS. All you need is to get your hands on a single one, then the other ones are free.

Leading with Compoundeyes Butterfree raises this chance

They have a 50% encounter rate at the trainer school, which is the highest of anywhere in the game

Smoke Ball on the Butterfree lets you run instantly from anything that's not a Magnemite

When you find one, switch in A-Exeggutor

If the Magnemite is holding a Metal Coat, Frisk will tell you. Use Thief and it's yours. If Frisk doesn't activate, run and try again
