From the pic you used to start a thread I would say that you don't frequent /vp/ and aren't used to talk about boards, so an outsider like you should start with the basics like Red then FireRed to see how a game can change for better or worse.
If you liked more Red go for Crystal otherwise try Soul Silver (not gba but you can still emulate it). At this point you won't like pokémon anymore since is a shit series for a casual like you (a bit too late to start sen.pai).
