There was no non-bullshit way to get Spiritomb until Gen6.

Mareanie takes the cake because Corsola is a 10% in bubble and only has a 10% chance to get Mareanie. There's NO way somebody would know how to get it or even accidentally run into it unless they knew how to get it.
